When we had our first grandchild I was pressed into
finding a wall clock that glowed all night. I searched
and, not finding an analog “glow-clock”
anywhere, decided I could create one. It made a useful
and one-of-a kind gift and I enjoyed the process of
converting my art into a new form, a different direction.
Since then, others have expressed interest in this unique
item---and so it evolved. All “frames” and
most hands are custom colors. Each clock image is from
my original art and is signed by me.
The hands and dials on glow clocks can be hand-painted
with a non-toxic glow-in-the-darkoff-white paint which
has a slight pale green tint and texture. To maintain
glow all night the clock must be hung where it receives
either a minute of sunlight or twenty minutes of standard
electric light each day.
I can also make these clocks so they do not glow. Either
way they add an interesting statement to any room.
NOTE:
The clock is 9 3/4 inches diameter, has a quartz movement
and requires one AA battery.
It has a plastic cover which makes it lightweight and
easy to hang.
Every Critter Clock™ is a custom piece:
1. You may select from many of the works on this site
as a background.
2. The hands and numbers of the clock can be either
glow (off white) or no glow (dark)
3. A painted frame can be a simple single color, or
an artistic.design.
PRICE
The basic no-glow clock with frame is $55 plus $10 for
shipping.
Add:
1) $15 for glow painting of the hands and numbers
2) $25 for painting an artistic design on the frame
